The Senior GAA Clubs Re-convened AGM will take place on Saturday week, February 4th at 7.30PM.
A number of important issues that weren't dealt with at the original AGM will be addressed. All Members are asked to attend.

The 2012 Sports Prediction Quiz has just been launched. This year we have 40 sporting resultss to predict with €800 in prize money up for grabs.
As with last year’s Quiz, entrants must predict the winner of various sporting events throughout the course of 2012.
Annual events such as the All-Irelands, Premier League and Six Nations are joined in this year’s Quiz by Euro 2012 and the Olympics.
Last year’s winner was Rita Moloney (wife of Clooney-Quin player, Victor Leyden) who correctly predicted 24 of 36 sporting outcomes for 2011. Her prophetic skills were rewarded with a €500 cash prize.
This year we have a runners up prize of €200 and third prize €100 but entry remains at €10!
This is due to the support of a number of local businesses who’s details you’ll find on the back of the card.
Entry cards are now available from any Clooney-Quin player.
To enter, simply guess who you think the winner of each of the sporting events listed will be this year, and return to any Clooney-Quin player by 10th February 2012 along with the entry fee of €10.

The County Finals of Scór na bPáistí will take place on Sunday March 25th. We have had great 'craic' and great success in this event over the last number of years and hope to have a major presence there again in 2012. This competition is confined to all club members who attend primary school. Anybody interested in taking part should contact Mike Hogan at 087-2161821.

Clooney/Quin Minor Club will hold a meeting on Mon.next Jan. 23rd at 9pm. in the meeting room. 'Gradings for 2012'  will be the main item on the agenda. All members are invited to attend and contribute.

Clooney/Quin GAA Club elected Sean Earls as their new Chairman at a well attended AGM on Saturday evening last.  Sean will take over from Pat O'Brien who will be working overseas for the foressable future.
Club Secretary, Michael McNamara delivered a detailed Report on the past season, while Treasurer, Haulie Hannon informed the Meeting that, though Finances could be better, the Club is in a healthy state at a time when the economy is slow.
In his acceptance speech, Sean Earls thanked Pat O'Brien for the excellent work he had done during his tenure, while outlining his own commitment to the task facing him by promising to dedicate himself to do everything he can for the Club.
An open and constructive discussion followed the election of Officers on a range of topics, amongst these the appointment of Francis Browne as  Manager of the Senior Hurling side along with the decision to enter an adult football team in Championship only for 2012. In relation to hurling, the club will compete at Senior and Junior "A" grade in Championship and League for the coming season.
