U-12

The Clooney/Quin under 12 team have now completed the league section of their championship and have qualified for the semi final.  In their first match they came up against a very strong Kilkishen team and lost out by a narrow margin.  Next up were Feakle and here the young Clooney/Quin girls produced a very skillful performance to win comfortably.  Their last match was against a very young Sixmilebridge B team and they won by a very large score.  These young girls are improving with every outing and are now looking forward to taking part in the final stages of the competition.  Well done to them and their management of Martha Deegan, Sheelagh Daffy, Derek Ryan and Orla Considine.

This is a very busy week for the U-12 Girls, with the U-12 B Shield Camogie final on this Wednesday 2nd June in Tulla, where they will meet Kilkishen. This is their 7th match of the season and the team are going from strength to strength. Throw in at 7.30pm in Tulla - come along and support the girls.

Friday will see the girls in action in the U-12 B Shield Ladies Football final in Lissycasey, against the girls from Kilmihil. Kick off is at 7.15pm and again all support is greatly appreciated.

Best of Luck in both games Girls. You can do the double.

On Thursday last 6th May, the U-12 Camogie Team beat Broadford in the 4th round of the Championship. It was a hard fought game in Clooney pitch. This was the teams' first win and it was well deserved.

The final score was 3-1 to Clooney, with the goals provided by Aoibheann Duggan, Sophie Barbotin and Grainne Burke.

The 5th round match will be next week in Clooney against Tulla. Details to be confirmed.

Wednesday April 28th will see the U-12 Camogie Team face Newmarket in Newmarket with a kick off of 6.15pm. This is their third match of the season. Having recently played and lost to Corofin and Inagh at home in Quin, this team will be looking for a win away on Wednesday.

Training normally takes place on a Saturday at 5pm in Quin school field under the leadership of Dave Barry and assistance of Sheelagh Daffy & Martha Deegan. This week training is on Monday 26th at 6.30pm in Clooney Hurling Field. With a panel of 28 girls there is usually a large turnout for training.

The team were unfortunate not to beat a very strong Corofin team 2 weeks ago and missed out in the end by a 1-1 difference after a very late goal by Corofin. Last week saw the Clooney/Quin girls beaten by an experienced Inagh Team with an end score of 3-1. The panel includes: Shauna Duffy, Aoibheann Duggan, Eimear McGrath, Grainne Burke, Lauren McConway, Aine Nash, Aoife Deane, Sophie Barbotin, Ciara Donnelly, Alice O'Donnell, Aisling Mullins, Sarah Costelloe, Eleanor Leonard, Amy Moloney, Ellen Liddy, Jennifer O'Neill, Emma Deegan, Ciara Grogan, Grace McMahon, Aoife Barry, Siobhain Frain, Orlaith Nash, Emily Duggan, Roisin McAteer, Orla Banting, Anna Corry, Aoife Burke & Bridget O'Sullivan.
