A top class performance from the U14 Girls camogie team saw them progress into the County final after overcoming a much fancied Ballyea side.
Scores from Rebeca Dicks, Rebeca Kennedy, Hannah O' Sullivan and Ashling Corbert took the team to victory over Ballyea. In fact, Ballyea has beaten Clooney Quin well in the previous rounds and the mentors Brian Leamy, Sheelagh Daffy and Derek Ryan used this fact well to motiviate their charges.
Clooney Quin played with the strong breeze in the first half and put up a score of 2 - 1 to no score at half time. In the second half, Ballyea were kept under pressure by the Clooney Quin girls and despite a strong finish, Clooney Quin held out as comfortable winners.
