The Clooney/Quin Junior B team finished their League campaign with a narrow defeat  to the local team at Kilkishen on Saturday evening last.
Despite fielding without some regulars the Clooney/Quin lads fought back from the concession of two quick goals from a lively Mills team to trail by 2.4 to 0.6 at half time. Clooney/Quin played some fine patches of hurling during the secon period ably led by Aiden Daffy,Niall McMahon, Martin McInerney, Donal Conheady and the experienced Francis Browne. Entering injury time Clooney/Quin led by that most feared of leads, 2 points when referee Flan O'Reilly awarded a free to the local team meters from the side line. Clooney/Quin failed to clear their lines with the ball being diverted pass gaolkeeper Shane Smith for a fortuitous win. Final score - O'Callaghans Mills 3.04 Clooney/Quin 0.12.
