This is a make or break weekend for almost all our adult hurling teams, as they prepare for their various Championship matches............

Top of the pile is the Seniors clash with Kilmaley on Saturday at 5.45PM in Shannon.
Having bowed out of the Clare Cup last week, the team need to bounce back up very quickly for this Round 3 game. With a Round 1 win secured over Smith O'Briens in this Group, the Clooney/Quin lads know from last years experiences that three from four wins is whats needed in order to be assured of qualification, so they will have to pull out all the stops to subdue a Kilmaley side who will be buoyed-up by their win over Crusheen in Round 2 in the Group.
Injuries have hampered preparations, with a number of players set to miss out on Saturdays clash, but if the team play to their potential, they will be right in there with a great chance of going a step better than the draw between the sides in last years Championship.
The Intermediates are also in action on Saturday, as they travel to Ruan to take on Ennistymon at 1.30PM in Round 3 of the Championship.
Having lost their only game to date in the competition, the Clooney lads need to get a win under their belts in this one. Ennistymon are in fine form recently, but clashes between these sides over the past three years have always been tight affairs. Lets hope our lads can eek out a win from this one.
On Friday evening, the Junior "A" team take on table-toppers O'Callaghans Mills in Newmarket at 7.30PM in a Round 3 clash knowing that nothing but a win will be enough for them to remain in contention for the knock-out stages of the competition.
Having lost to Inagh/Kilnamona and Scariff, the Clooney boys need to produce their best performance of the year if they are to threaten an experienced Mills side who have won both their matches to date. The Junior side have also suffered as a result of injuries to key players, but the team will be strengthened with the return of some panellists for tomorrow evenings clash.
The Junior "B" side, who lost to neighbours Tulla in Round 1 of the Championship are now in the Losers group, and have drawn Ruan for Sunday evenings clash in Clareabbey at 6PM. When the sides met earlier in the League, Ruan emerged victorious and will go into Sundays match as hot favourites. However, with our lads showing a major improvement in form recently, perhaps they might be able to reverse that League result and stay in the hunt for a quarter-final spot.
We ask all supporters to get out and support the Lads this big weekend. Your support is vital to their chances.
