The Senior hurlers contest the Senior "B" Hurling semi-final on Sunday next when they take on neighbours, Tulla in Clarecastle. Clooney had a good win over the Niall Gilligan inspired Sixmilebridge on Saturday last and, though they will enter this game as underdogs, have a great chance of progressing to the Final.
Last years County Champions and Munster Club Finalists, Tulla will as usual, bring out the best from themselves and Clooney as these Local Derbies tend to be lively affairs. On paper, Tulla are fancied to advance, but form will be out the window by throw-in. Clooney showed that they have excellent fitness levels along with a goal threat and by the final whistle, may have done enough to get to the Final.
Throw-in on Sunday in Clarecastle is 1.45PM, so get over and support the team!
