The Senior hurlers travelled to Newmarket this evening, July 15th to take on the home side with precious points at stake. After an hours hurling, the Clooney/Quin lads headed home with the points on a 3-10 to 0-15 scoreline.

This win over Newmarket keeps the team out of the Relegation positions, with a vital home game against Cratloe on Tuesday night next. A win in this game will ensure Division 1 status next year. However, if St. Josephs beat Eire Og, we will be safe, regardless of the outcome of our game v Cratloe. To add a twist to the situation, were we and Doora/barefield to lose, we would be in a playoff with Doora/Barefield to stay up, with Kilmaley already relegated. There are even more permutations, were either of these games to end in a draw, so this final League game is an important one for the Seniors.
The Intermediates completed their League campaign with a defeat at home to Inagh/Kilnamona on a 2-10 to 1-8 scoreline.
