Tough Task for Clooney-Quin Senior Hurlers Following Championship Draw

Clooney-Quin Senior hurlers were given an extremely difficult task if they are to qualify for the County Championship quarter-finals for the third year in
sucession following the draw which took place on Tuesday evening last, March 1st. With last years County semi-finalists seeded, Clooney were
drawn in Group 4 with reigning County Champions Crusheen. Indeed, as the draw dictated, its this clash in Round 2 that the Clooney lads
will open their Championship campaign with, having receioved a Bye in Round 1. In Round 3, the opposition will be Ballyea, in Round 4,
Clooney-Quin will take on Kilmaley, a familiar fixture for both clubs who have been drawn in the same group for five years in a row now.
The final Group game will see Clooney-Quin take on another neighbouring Parish, Newmarket.
Round 1 will take place on the Weekend of either May 8th or 15th, with Clooney-Quins first game in Round 2 scheduled for the W/E of May 28th.
Round 3 is scheduled for the W/E of August 7th , Round 4 on W/E of August 20th and Round 5 on W/E of September 10th.
