Clooney/Quin U-12 Hurlers Improving...................
Clooney/Quin U-12 Hurlers' continued improvement in this year's championship was marked by a great win over high-flying Smith O'Briens in Round 3 of the championship. This was a game that was very close all through with the home team turning over a 3 point half-time deficit to win on a 2.2 to 1.3 scoreline.
However, Lady Luck was nowhere in sight when John put his team on the field last week in Kilmaley. Having 5 players injured in the 1st half meant the boys in green and red were never going to be able to put their best foot forward. Though they battled to the end, it was the home team who collected the 2 points on offer to stay unbeaten and top of the table.
