Plans are at an advanced stage in the Minor Club for the annual Clooney/Quin U-13 Hurling Tournament. As always there is a massive entry from clubs around the county......
The competition has been re-vamped this year with new sponsors and new trophies.
Abbey Stores will sponsor Div.1 while Bumblebee Embroidery is the new sponsor of Div.2 and Cryoclinic will sponsor Div.3.
We are very grateful to the Reddan and Lee families for presenting perpetual trophies to the club in commemoration of Séamus Reddan and Gerry Lee respectively. These trophies will be presented to the Div.1 and Div.2 winners for the first time this year while The John O'Brien Shield awaits the Div.3 champions. This trophy was kindly donated by the O'Brien family two years ago and has been played for since.
The tournament is due to get underway on Oct. 3rd and we will have more details next week.
