The Clooney/Quin U-13 Hurling Tournament is now at an advanced stage with just two outstanding games from the group stages to be played this weekend.
The good news for local supporters is that our own team has made it safely through to the semi-final with an unblemished record of three wins from three outings. This follows their victory last Saturday in Hennessy Park over near neighbours Tulla. In yet another very entertaining game, the home side were more accurate in front of goal and finished 1.7 to 1.3 winners.
They will now turn their attentions to the opposite parish boundary from where Newmarket-on-Fergus will provide a stern test in the penultimate round.
All semi-finals are due to be played over the weekend of the 31st October.
