Great Start to Clooney/Quin U-13 Hurling Tournament

Clooney/Quin U-13 Hurlers had a very impressive victory over Broadford on Monday evening in Hennessy Park.
After a very even 1st half, the teams retired at the break on level scores - C/Q 0.7 to Broadford's 1.4. As the visitors edged ahead after the changeover, we anticipated an equally close 2nd period. However, the home side found their rhythm, found the goalposts and completely overwhelmed the East Clare side to run out convincing winners on a 3-15 to 1-7 scoreline......................

On this Saturday in Hennessy Park the lads will take on O'Callaghan's Mills in Round 2. This is a 'top of the table' clash as The Mills were victors over Tulla last weekend.
Throw-in is at 1pm.
