The Munster U-16 Divisional Hurling Championship will get underway this weekend and when the East Clare panel descend on Cappawhite on Saturday morning they will be well stocked with Clooney/Quin players.
A record number of 6 of our players have made it onto the panel of 24, and a 7th player, Brian Clune, was very close to the final cut and may yet be called up.
So we wish the very best of luck to David Barry, Jason Ryan, Peter Duggan, Niall Hehir, John Reynolds and Keith Hogan and, indeed the entire East Clare squad and their selectors.
They will take on sides from Tipperary, Limerick and Cork in an attempt to make the semi-finals.
