Our U-16 Hurlers have an important match on this Monday at 6.30PM in Clooney. They will take on Meelick in a play-off for a place in the semi-final of the U-16A Championship. They reached this stage on the back of victories in their final two matches against Doora/Barefield and Monday's opponents. That final game in Knockalisheen went right to the wire with an injury time goal securing a 2-point win for the visitors. Monday's game is likely to be just as close and extra time will be played if the sides finish level. The game was originally fixed for Cratloe, but the pitch has been closed. Both clubs agreed to toss for venue, and Clooney won the toss. Try get along to support the lads.
