The All-Ireland Football Final will take place this Sunday, but for Clooney/Quin Minor Club the big game of the weekend is the County U16 "B"  Hurling Final. Roslevan is the venue, Corofin provide the opposition and throw-in will be at 5.30pm.

While Corofin will start as favourites following their demolition of Cratloe in the semi-final, Clooney/Quin have come through two very tough games in the quarter-final and semi-final. The character shown in those matches will stand to them in the final.
This is a very well balanced team with all players on the panel playing their part. They have reached the final because of their strong belief in the 'team' ethos. There exists a real bond between the players and a great desire to end the year with a trophy.
While great credit must go to Keith Mungovan and Pa Reynolds for the work they have done with the lads this year, their achievement thus far is also a recognition of the coaching carried out in the club by various mentors over the last decade.
All we need now is to get the whole parish to make the short journey to Roslevan on Sunday to support the team. Wear the jerseys, bring the flags and make a lot of noise. These young men deserve our support.

COME ON CLOONEY/QUIN!
