This Sunday morning our U-16 Hurlers will take on Smith O'Briens in the semi-final of the championship. The match is fixed for Kilkishen and will have an 11.30am throw-in...............
The Killaloe side will provide a stern challenge for our lads. They have coasted to this stage of the championship with a 100% record. They knocked Clooney/Quin out of both the U-14 and U-15 Championships last year. We all remember the heartbreak of losing that U-14 semi-final after extra time in a replay.
That said, Clooney/Quin U-16s are unbeaten this year and this well-balanced team has a real desire to win a championship. They feel they have lost enough semi-finals and finals over the years and are very determined to go all the way.
Keith Mungovan and Pa Reynolds will have the boys in great shape. So, lets hope the ball will bounce our way!
