20 April 2010
The U6's training sessions started last Saturday in Quin hall. It is always exciting to see all the new talent of the parish starting off at such a young age. Many of these players would be between the ages of four and 6. With hurlies as big as themselves they are a joy to watch. Any parents that would like their children to start playing hurling with Clooney Quin should come along next Saturday April 24th to Quin hall. The session starts at 1pm........
for an hour and the children will get great enjoyment from it.
U8 Blitz in Cratloe
The U8's had their first blitz in Cratloe last Sarturday April 17th. There was a very strong turnout for the blitz, 34 children in total were in Cratloe ready and able to play in the Clooney Quin colours. The boys played against Cratloe, Meelick and Corofin. Clonlara did not turn up with a team on the day. Because of our numbers we had enough for four teams and there were only four opposing a decision was made to allow each of the Clooney Quin teams play the first or second half of each game. The teams were split up and everyone got a game which is most important. Clooney Quin played some great ground hurling and should be very proud of themselves. They all are looking forward to the next blitz in a few weeks time.
U10 Blitz April 24th
The U10's had their first blitz on April 10th in Clooney pitch and the next outing for them is this Saturday April 24th in Kilmaley. Best of luck boys.
