U6 boys had their first big venture out into the wide open space of Clooney pitch last Saturday. This was their first outdoor session of the year and the weather stayed good for them. Everyone enjoyed the new drills and we hope they continue to turn up for training and enjoy the fun.
U8 boys had their second blitz of the year last Saturday in Clarecastle. Once again Clooney Quin were very strongly represented having fielded three teams. The numbers available at U8 level are very high and its great to see. The each team played 3 games each so Clooney participated in 8 games in total. At the end of the blitz Clooney Quin won the majority of their games with all three teams well balanced. All 30 boys were very proud of their performances and so they should be. The next blitz will be held in Clooney in the 29th of May.
U10 boys had a visit from Kilmaley last Wednesday evening. The match was played in the school field and this was a good test for everyone. The U10's played in an inter county blitz in Ballina and played against Cashel King Cormacs and Ballina. For all their hard efforts on the day they were given a slitor and a t-stirt to take with them.
