Fergus Rovers 2-8  Clooney Quin 1-6 that was the Final Score of the Senior Ladies Football first outing of 2011. In deed it was a great start in this higher level of Division 1, against what would be imagined a much stronger Ferus Rovers Team. With only the bare 15 players, Clooney/Quin put on a great show on Sunday morning last April 10th. As reported in this week's Clare People and Clare Champion:

"Goals from Clodagh McNeilis and Ciara O'Malley paved the way for a Fergus Rovers win in this Div. 1 Round 2 league fixture at Clooney on Sunday. The visitors lead 1-4 to 0-3 at half time.  Mary Kate Moloney was the Clooney Quin goal scorer while their points came from team captain Edwina McCarthy and Jessica O'Neill.
