Clooney Quin Junior Ladies Football team advanced to the final after a well deserved victory over Burren Gaels.
On Sunday evening, in Kilfenora with a finishing scoreline of 4-13 to 2-7, the Junior Ladies had a great victory. Burren Gaels opened very strongly and looked the better team in the opening quarter. However, the Clooney Quin team rose to the occasion and enjoyed a goalscoring spree both sides of the halftime break. The goals coupled with some great points from play in the second half ensured that they countered a late comeback by Burren Gaels.
The Junior Ladies Football is on next Sunday, 12th October, at Coolmeen GAA grounds at 12.30. Their opponents will be Kilrush.
