U-12

One week later, two matches later and into the South East Regional Final we go. The U12´s Ladies Football Team played their matches as planned on Thursday and Friday of last week. Against Wolfe Tones, they won 8-4 to no score. This win had been expected as Wolfe Tones had lost but one of their matches in the League. Team was: Ellen Liddy, Jennifer O´Neill, Ciara O´Reilly, Alex O´Neill, Ciara Grogan, Hannah Conneally, Amy Moloney, Mary Conneally, Emma Deegan Michelle Meere, Shona Hale, Clara de Sousa, Orlaith Nash, Anna Corry. Scores by: Emma Deegan (2-4), Orlaith Nash (3-0), Mary Conneally (1-0), Michelle Meere (2-0).

The win against NewMarket was a surprise as they had previously drawn and without a full squad on the Friday evening, such a comprehensive win was not dreamt of. The final score was 2-7 to 0-2. Team was: Orlaith Nash, Rachel Begg, Anna Corry, Jennifer O´Neill, Alex O´Neill, Aisling McGrath, Amy Moloney, Emma Deegan, Michelle Meere, Shona Hale, Clara de Sousa. Scores by: Emma Deegan (2-4), Amy Moloney (0-2), Michelle Meere (0-1).

Final is due to be played after Easter Monday. A win will mean Division 1 for the Championship, or to loose they would remain in Division 2, either way a fine performance to date by these young players. Good Luck Girls.
