Last weekend, the Intermediate footballers were defeated by Kildysart in the first round of the Championship. Level at the break, 1-5 each, the Kildysart lads turned in a fine 2nd half performance and ran out winners on a 1-17 to 1-5 scoreline.
This Saturday evening, our Intermediate hurlers take on the favourites for the County Title, Eire Og in Round 2 of the Championship.
Following their excellent win over Feakle in Round 1, Sean Earls lads will have to reproduce that performance if they are to trouble The Townies.
This will be a tough match, but our Lads are certain to put in a determined effort, and, might not be far away at the final whistle.
The game takes place in Clareabbey with a 7.45PM start.
