Odds and Ends from the 30's and 40's

During the 1940's, Clooneys Senior hurlers were as good as any team in the County, contesting five County Finals in that Decade, along with a number of Clare Cup Final appearances..........

It was customary that, after County Finals, the competing teams would have a post-match Meal. An Original Menu from the 1942 Final was copied and is reproduced below. It surely was done differently in those days. Note the sources of the foods!
