This is a special year in Clare at Underage level as the All-Ireland Féile na nGael Competition returns to the county on the weekend of June 18th to 20th, with the Féile parade taking place in Ennis on Friday evening, June 18th.
The local Club will host competitors for the Hurling, Camogie and Handball competitions. The draw for the visiting clubs will take place in March, when we will find out who we are hosting.
The Minor Club Féile Officer is John Duggan, with Breda Daffy as Féile Officer for the Camogie club. Kevin O'Brien is the Féile Officer for the Handball club.
Already there have been a number of meetings held in the Parish, with a hard-working Committee making the necessary arrangements, including Host Families for the Competitors, Referees and Accommodation for Mentors . The Club are also working on the Club facilities in order that they meet the Competition requirements.
It was 1999 when Féile Peil na nOg was held in Clare, with great excitement amongst the younger members as they awaited to meet their guests for a weekend where friendships were made for Life.
Further details will appear on the Website as we move towards the Event.
