Plans are moving along for the Climb and Walk on Saturday April 18th............
Twenty-two Hardy Souls attended the first training session held last Saturday, all reaching the summit of the highest mountain in Clare, Moylussa.
This was a mighty achievement for many who attended, as a number of them had never attempted such a trip.
Buoyed by this achievement, the serious training has commenced in earnest, with many participants having hit the roads locally during the week in preparation for the next Training Climb, which will take place on Saturday week, March 7th, when Keeper Hill will be the obstacle. Further details will be available early next week, with information on the departure time for Newport in Tipperary.
Of course, we cannot forget our goal, that is the raising of valuable funds for the Irish Cancer Society. Sponsorship cards are available from any of the 12 Committee Members, Pat O'Louighlin, Joe Littleton, Tom Guilfoyle, Fr. Michael Collins, Con Ryan, Maura O'Loughlin, Pat Ryan, Mary Littleton, Nollie McCarthy, Packie Conroy, Adrian Fleming or Conor Harrison.
