Its High Summer, and this means one thing... The GAA Season is at its busiest. The Minor GAA Club are in full swing, with lots of action over the coming days........

Our U-12 Hurlers travel to Clarecastle on Saturday morning to take on a most formidable home side in Round 4 of the championship. Our boys have battled well in their 3 matches to date. A tremendous victory over The Mills was sandwiched between narrow defeats to Broadford and Smith O'Brien's. The boys will have to be up early on Saturday as this match throws in at 10.30am!

On this Monday, our U-16 hurlers will commence championship action with a home game against a Smith O'Briens/Broadford combination. This is their first taste of 'A' hurling. However, the confidence they will bring with them from winning the U-15B title last year will stand to them. The match will get underway at 7pm.

You may have witnessed Clare U-14 hurling trials taking place in Hennessey Park in recent weeks. You may also have noticed a familiar figure calling the shots on the sideline.
That man is our own Fergal Lynch and everybody in Clooney/Quin wishes Fergal the best of luck with the County squad in 2009.
