History was made over Christmas when Clooney/Quin took its place in Scor na nOg for the first time.........

The honour of being the first act from the club to take the stage in this 40 year old competition fell to our music group. Marie Hehir, Aaron Duggan and Colin Haugh put on a great performance and were highly commended by the judges. Thanks to Padraig Grogan for assisting these up-and-coming musicians in their preparations. Brian McEvoy, Keith Hogan and Peter Duggan wore the club colours in the Quiz Competition but had to give way to an excellent O'Callaghan's Mills team.
Pride of place went to our young seanchai Liam Fahy who took a trophy and 2nd place in the Storytelling/Recitation competition. Liam regaled the audience with his superb version of the story of "Tim Coffey's Cat."
So, after an incredible collection of GAA trophies in the parish in 2008, we have our 1st of 2009 in the cabinet already!

Scor na mPaisti will take place in March/April. This is similar to Scor na nOg, but confined to Primary Scool pupils. Anybody interested in being involved in this should contact a Minor Club officer.
