It was a hectic weekends action on the local GAA front.
On Friday, our Minors faced-up to a Sixmilebridge side packed with Count Minors and gave an excellent performance but succumbed to The Bridge who secured the game with a goal as the clock struck the 60th minute to notch a 1-17 to 1-13 scoreline.
On Saturday evening, the Seniors went in search of our second successive quarter-final spot  as they took on Clarecastle. In a tight game, the sides finished level on a 0-12 scoreline, with both sides advancing to the knock-out stages.
On Sunday, the Junior "B" side were up against a fancied Sixmilebridge outfit and were somewhat disappointed to come away with a draw on a 0-9 scoreline. Sixmilebridge held the upperhand for periods of the game early-on, but the Clooney lads finished strong and could have nicked the win at the end.
The sides are set to meet again this coming weekend.
