Clooney/Quin GAA Club elected Sean Earls as their new Chairman at a well attended AGM on Saturday evening last.  Sean will take over from Pat O'Brien who will be working overseas for the foressable future.
Club Secretary, Michael McNamara delivered a detailed Report on the past season, while Treasurer, Haulie Hannon informed the Meeting that, though Finances could be better, the Club is in a healthy state at a time when the economy is slow.
In his acceptance speech, Sean Earls thanked Pat O'Brien for the excellent work he had done during his tenure, while outlining his own commitment to the task facing him by promising to dedicate himself to do everything he can for the Club.
An open and constructive discussion followed the election of Officers on a range of topics, amongst these the appointment of Francis Browne as  Manager of the Senior Hurling side along with the decision to enter an adult football team in Championship only for 2012. In relation to hurling, the club will compete at Senior and Junior "A" grade in Championship and League for the coming season.
