People in Hurling circles speak of "Beautiful Stickmen" and may say that a player had
"Great Hands". Well, Mike Duggan had both. And lots more.He played at all grades for Club and County in a long career..............

Clooneys victory in the 1986 Intermediate Hurling Final was a very welcome win. Having come so close in 1985, losing that Final following a Replay to St. Josephs, Doora/Barefield, capturing the Title with a one-point win over Corofin was greeted with joyous scenes by the Clooney supporters. Pat O'Loughlin was Captain, as always, leading by example. Here is what he had to say..........

Flan Clune, along with his brother Mike, were pivotal members of the victorious Clooney Junior hurlers who bridged a 24-year gap when they captured the County Championship in 1966…………..
