On the evening of the 27th of October Clooney Quin Under 10 ladies football team were kindly invited over to Wolfe Tones in Shannon for an end of year match under the floodlights of the fantastic facilities inTullyvarraga.
The two teams fielded 13 a-side and the skills that both teams had been practising over the year were on display much to the enjoyment of the home and travelling supporters.
At the end of the match the Wolfe Tones club were very kind to provide pizza, treats and drinks to the travelling Clooney Quin girls and this was topped further when medals were given to the girls.
Many thanks to Sharon in Wofle Tones for facilitating the match and after match feast and to the Quin/Shannon connections who made the night possible.
The night was a great way to finish the 2017 year which saw a massive improvement in the skills of the Clooney girls, the vast majority of whom will now make the step-up to play league and championship matches for the club at under 12 level in 2018.
