The U12 Boys football team looked very much at home in Cusack Park on Monday last. Despite dreadful conditions, the boys took to the county field like ‘Ducks to water’. The Clooney Quin Green team were first up against Lisseycasey. Strong performances throughout resulted in several goals for the Clooney Quin team who came out as winners. The Red team had the toughest game yet this year against a dogged Clarecastle team. Despite wind, rain and a vocal opposition sideline, these boys showed composure and did their talking with their feet. Clooney Quin kept their record and came out as well deserved winners. A very proud coach after both games, Liam Conneally said ‘Boys, you are winners and if you continue the same team spirit and strong work rate through for your hurling season, we will have a great year”. A well deserved visit to McDonalds after the game finished the U12 football season on a high note. Pictured are a very wet ‘Red’ team after the match.
