The Senior girls played their first game in the 7 a side competition organised by the county board. Each team can have a panel of 14 players but only 7 are on the fields at any one time. The game is played using the full width of the field. The field is shortened and play between both 21’s.

Clooney Quin played Corrofin in Clooney on Wednesday evening in the first game and came out on top with a score line of Clooney Quin 9-7 Corrofin 5-4.

The pace of this game is very fast and subs roll on and off regularly to give everyone a break and others a chance to play. A game will be played every Wednesday for the next few weeks and Clooney Quin’s next game will be against Feakle-Broadford in Quin on June 24th.
