There was heart break for the minor hurlers on Friday evening after they lost their quarter final of the minor A championship to the table toppers Corofin Ruan in Inagh. The opposing amalgamation would have been very much the favourites to win this tie but the Clooney Quin team had the lead for most of the game with some outstanding performance all over the field. A strong wind down the field favoured Clooney Quin in the first half and they had a five point lead at half time. They fought right to the end but were beaten by a single point when the referee blew for full time. This was Clooney Quin’s best performance all year and this young team should be very proud of how they performed.
