The senior hurlers faced Cratloe in Clooney on Easter Monday in the second round of the Clare Cup. Clooney Quin took full points from this game and could take many positives from this very physical battle. The home side got 2 goals in the first half,  the first came from a close in free from Peter Duggan and the second from Tadhg Shannahan. Clooney Quin had a 2 7 to 0 5 lead at half time with Cratloe’s Conor Mc Grath moving into full forward after 20 minutes. Peter Duggan got Clooney Quins third goal in the second half with a sweeping run from half way through the Cratloe defence and slotting it past Gearóid Ryan in the Cratloe goal. The final score was Clooney Quin 3 13 Cratloe 0 13.   Clarecastle will be the next opponents in the 2 weeks.

The junior team went to Feakle on Tuesday evening to play the division 4 league and they too put in a fine performance and left with all the points. The half time score was Feakle 0 6 Clooney Quin 0 12. The full time score was Feakle 1 12 Clooney Quin 2 17.
