Ladies Football team through to B Cup final after win against Burren Gaels in Carron on Wednesday night. Final score Clooney Quin 7-11; Burren Gaels 3-10.
At half time Clooney led 4-7 to 1-2 and expected the come back from the home team, but were able to hold out due to our strong defence. As the forwards kept the scoreboard ticking over in the second half the deficit in the scores was not bridged by Burren Gaels.
Despite all the rain in recent weeks the pitch in Carron was in perfect condition and while the Clooney girls wouldn’t have played much sport under lights it was a great experience.
