The senior hurling team recorded their second win of the Clare Cup last weekend against Newmarket away. The sides were level at half time but Clooney Quin pulled away in the second half to seal the points.
Final score was NOF 0 12 Clooney Quin 1 18.
They will play Clonlara in the next round in a weeks time.
The junior hurlers also played Newmarket this weekend at home in Clooney on Saturday evening and got their third win from three in the division four league. They will play neighbours St. Josephs Doora Barefield in the next round at the weekend.
