The senior hurlers played O’Callaghans Mills in the Senior B hurling final last Saturday in Tulla and brought home the first senior title to Clooney Quin in 74 years. Despite not scoring any goals in the game and conceding 3 in the first half they won out in the end on a socre line of Clooney Quin 0 22 O’Callaghans Mills 3 8. The half time score was not in Clooneys favour , CQ 0 7 O’C Mills 3 4, but they dug very deep in the second half and turned around the half time deficit of 6 points to winning by 5 points. Well done to the players and management team for all the hard work put in this year and they will also be contesting the Clare Cup Quarter Final on Sunday against Kilmaley in Clare Abbey at 4:30pm.
