The senior camogie girls contested the County Mini 7’s competition on Thursday evening at 8pm , August 13th in Fr McNamara Park. The opposition were old rivals Kilmaley.  The final score in the game was Clooney Quin 8 12 Kilmaley 2 7.

This is a very fast flowing game with only 7 on the field at any one time , playing from 21 to 21 , full width pitch, 20 minutes a side and small goals.

The half time score was Clooney Quin 4 6 Kilmaley 2 7 with scores coming from Deirdre Murphy, Claire Ryan, Jessica O’ Neill and Aoibheann Duggan. The girls scored the same amount in the secnd half as they did in the first half with scores coming from Deirdre Murphy, Jessica O’Neill, Claire Ryan and Jenny Costelloe.

The panel on the night was Sheelagh Daffy, Ciara Grogan, Aisling Hannon, Aisling Corbett, Deirdre Murphy, Claire Ryan, Jessica O’ Neill, Aoibheann Duggan, Jenny Costelloe, Laura Costelloe, Emily Maloney, Marie Keating, Emma Deegan and Siobhan Lee.

Only a panel of 14 could be named on the night but many of the other girls on the extended panel played their part in previous games that ensured a place in this final.
