With Clooney having a much depleted side the visitors to Clooney had it all their own way. At half time Kilmaley were still within reach the score being Clooney Quin 1 2 kilmaley 0 8. Clooneys goal came from a Deirdre Murphy free where she hit the net with five lining the goal mouth.The visitors claimed the second half early on. Jessica O Neill going off injured in the first half made matters very difficult for the home side. This means there is no league semi final spot for the girls but there is a long summer ahead with lots of work to do to bring them back to winning ways in the championship.
