Clooney Quin hosted one to the County Boards Monster Blitzes on Saturday afternoon. This saw teams from all over the county descending on Clooneys pitch at 12:30. There were teams from Inagh Kilnamona, Bodyke, The Banner, Clooney Quin, St. Josephs Doora Barefield, Scariff/Ogonnelloe, Tulla,Crusheen, Ennistymon, and O’Callaghans Mills. Some teams had 1, 2 or 3 U10 teams. Clooney Quin and St Josephs fielded 3 U10 teams.
The Skill Point concentrated on at this blitz was the Jab Lift (Ball is jabbed into hand following 1 clean attempt). Every time a child jab lifted the ball it was given as a point. Peter Casey was very complementary to Clooney Quin and Kevin O’Brien for allowing the blitz to be hosted in Clooney.
