In the U12 league Clooney Quin have kept up their perfect record.  With three wins out of three,  the girls put in a tough 50 minutes work in Gurteen on Wednesday evening.  The game was very tight with St. Josephs getting of the mark first by getting two goals in quick succession.  The Clooney Quin girls with great fight in them were not long getting back on equal terms with Lauren Wall getting two goals and one point after an Abi O’Sullivan shot across the goal. The second came from a long range free from Emma Considine.  Cliodhna Ryan was a thorn in the St. Josephs side at center forward and recorded some great points. The Clooney side were 3-3 to 2-1 ahead at the break.
In the second half St. Josephs piled on the pressure but with Emily Costelloe, Molly Slattery and Niamh McGee along with Anna Doyle , Ellie McNamara and Emma Considine in the backs holding out and the forwards defending from the front this was a great team performance.  St. Josephs did get in for 2 goals in the second half but Clooney Quin had their own scores from Cliodhna Ryan provided by Emily Costelloe.u12 v st josephs
