Clooney-Quin 3-06 v 1-00 Feakle/Killanena

Clooney-Quin were too strong for their visitors on Saturday morning.  Clooney-Quin dominated from the front.  Lauren Wall opened the scoring and goaled to put the winners into the lead that they would not lose.  Emma Considine followed with a point from play with Jenny O’Connor scoring the second goal of the half. Amy Senton in goal for Clooney-Quin attacked an on coming ball and confidently cleared to set Clooney-Quin on the attack again. As Clooney-Quin continued to press for goals the Feakle-Killanena defense held strong and pushed out the attacks but not without the expense of two ’30 meter frees which Emma Considine converted. Feakle-Killanena continued to press and with a long clearance from defense saw the ball over the defense and Alanna Fox scored the visitors only goal of the half and as it turned out the game. Clooney-Quin went into the break 2-04 to 1-00 ahead.

In the second half Clooney-Quin added on scores early in the half with Emma Considine getting 1-02.  Both sides traded attacks after this as the game was evenly matched.  Clooney Quin were confident and strong from the start with very strong performances from Molly Slattery, Niamh McGee, Lucy Cassidy, Abi O’Sullivan, Cliodhna Ryan, Emma Considine and Lauren Wall.
