Well done to the U13 hurlers for capturing the U13A title on Sunday evening in Clarecastle against Sixmilebridge. The opening score of the game came from Clooney Quins youngest starting player Jack O’Neill. A ball broke from the full forward line and Jack was quick to pounce on it and slot it over the bar. This was indeed a tight game but Clooney Quin made it it the finish line with a 5 point advantage in the end. This was helped along by a goal from Dylan Cunningham 10 minutes to go in the second half. The final score was Clooney Quin 1 9 Sixmilebridge 1 4. The U13 cup was received by joint captains Callum Beirne and Matthew Mc Namara and will remain in the parich for the next year along with the U14A cup. Well done to the team for giving a great display of hurling and all their hard work paid off.
