Clooney-Quin 2-06 v 2-01 Eire Og
Clooney-Quin continued their U14 winning ways with a well earned win over Eire Og on Wednesday evening. It’s been a hectic few weeks of games for these girls with secondary schools games in camogie and football and the local primary schools doing well in the sevens tournaments.
This teams work rate and team attitude was evident in this game. With players working hard together, hooking and blocking setting up the base for the link up play and some fine scores.
The backs setup is working very well as the girls progress through their games. There have been a number of switches in games recently with parings at mid field changing and there is never the same starting 15 as girls work hard to play on the field.
Scores in the game came from Emily Costello, Emma Considine, Niamh McGee and Lara Begg. Cliodhna Ryan put in another solid display this time at center back and Abi O’Sulliivan at mid-field. Molly Slattery and Anna Doyle are very strong on the wing back positions.
Clooney-Quin: Rachel Daffy, Aine Browne, Lucy Cassidy, Ellie McNamara, Anna Doyle, Cliodhna Ryan, Molly Slattery, Abi O’Sullivan, Rachel Ruske, Emma Considine, Emily Costello, Holly Deegan, Lara Begg, Niamh McGee, Emer Hynes.
