Clooney were first to put the score on the board after 4 minutes of play with a converted free by O’ Cerbhallain. Corofin were awarded an early penalty and converted with ease which gave them the lead after 6 minutes. This did not deter the visitors as Colm Cassidy responded with a fine point. Clooney Quin were awarded a penalty for a foul on Liam Keating inside the box but this was not converted.  Clooney Quin got the next score that came from a tight angle point converted by Liam Keating. Clooney Quin experienced some pressure for the next few minutes that resulted in one fine save by Cormac O’Halloran but also another shot made it into the back of the net. Clooney Quin once again replied with another even tighter angled point from Liam Keating. Thomas O’ Cerbhallain added two more points from play to his tally before half time and Sean Mc Grath got Clooney Quins first goal of the game 20 minutes in.  The visitors continued to work hard throughout the second half with more names keeping the score board ticking over.

The first score after half time came from Conal Egan which was a converted goal opportunity that was well executed.  Next up to make his mark was Dylan Cunningham leaving the score at Corofin 2 3 Clooney Quin 2 7. Clooney Quin took their points well in the second. Corofin did get a goal that brought them within 3 points of the visitors Clooney Quin kept the scoreboard ticking over with 2 points from Sean McGrath one fro Colm Cassidy and Dylan Cunningham. Clooney Quins last point of the game came from Thomas O’ Cerbhallain. Corofin has a penalty chance saved in the dying minutes of the game.
