Clooney Quin U14A camogie team gave another great performance on Wednesday evening last with an impressive victory over Scariff Ogonnelloe. They were 6 early points followed by goals from Ellen Collins and Faye McDonald that put Clooney Quin in firm control going in at half time and were the most dominant side through-out the game. They girls have won all their championship matched to date under the guidance and management of Deirdre Murphy.
They played Newmarket on Fergus last Wednesday night and came out on top again.

Clooney Quin had homeadvantage for this game and the game got off to a flying start with a goal (Shauna O’Halloran) and a point (Orna Moynihan) for Clooney Quin which were followed by two goals in quick succession for Newmarket on Fergus Nora McInerney and Kim O Brien). Clooney Quin were quick to respond however, with a point from Eimear McGee followed
by a goal from Ellen Collins. Following some lovely play from both sides, Clooney Quin scored a further Goal (Emma Quinn) and 3 points from Saoirse Keogh before Newmarket on Fergus came back with another goal (Amy McNamara). Another point from Eimear McGee saw Clooney Quin going in 6 points up at halftime. The hosts started the second half with a bang, scoring a goal (Orna Moynihan) and six points (Orna Moynihan (2), Shauna O’ Halloran, Emma Quinn, Eimear McGee, Saoirse Keogh) early on. Newmarket on Fergus fought hard but were unable to respond, allowing Clooney Quin to score a further goal (Orna Moynihan) and 4 points (Eimear McGee, Orna Moynihan and Claire Halpin (2)) before the final whistle was blown.
