U14’s Clooney/Quin Green Team made the long trip to Kilkee on Monday last to play local side West Clare Gaels. Only ten minutes into the game, Clooney’s corner back Niamh Morris suffered an injury to her wrist. Sarah Considine Kelly moved to corner position and Rachel Daffy came on to replace the injured Niamh Morris.
Clooney went into the break only a point down. With renewed energy in the second half, Clooney began to take control of the game all over the pitch and came out on top on a score line of Clooney/Quin 8-8; West Clare Gaels 2-12.
