HT Clooney/Quin 1-6; Ruan 0-2.
FT Clooney/Quin 1-12; Ruan 2-3.

The rain had cleared for this semi final although previous downpours meant the match moved from the headquarters at Fr Mac Namara Park to nearby Eire Og.

The game started even enough with scores exchanged on both sides but once settled in, Clooney got into their stride and after some well taken points by Emma Considine and a rasper of a goal from Orna Moynihan, Clooney were at half time the happier with 1-6 on the score board to Ruan’s 0-2.

Indeed the second half continued on the same vane with Clooney notching up six points to Ruan’s one. After a break in play to deal with a Ruan injured player, Ruan came back into the game and scored two late goals. This result sees Clooney in a Cup Final v Doorabarefield and Ruan in a Shield Final v Sixmilebridge in two weeks time on Saturday 19th October.
