Last Sunday in Corofin, our U21 hurlers battled hard but were beaten by 3 points by a physically stronger Doora-Barefield team. This was always going to be a dog fight right to the end of the game, due to the prevailing weather conditions and the tight pitch. It’s a game that could have gone either way right up to the 61st minute, however lady luck was not on our side on this occasion.   The spirit and attitude of the entire panel while preparing for this championship could not be faulted.  With just three of the panel over age next year we will build on this very spirited performance as we look forward to Junior A and Senior hurling leagues and championships this summer.  We wish Captain Davy Reynolds, Keith Hogan and Colm Loughnane all the best as they leave the U21 ranks and will no doubt see them in action again this year. We would also like to thank Pat O’Brien, Evan Kilroy, Seamus Conroy, Sean McMahon and Pa Reynolds for the time and effort they committed to developing and supporting their team. We have next year to look forward to with this young panel of players.
Rome wasn’t built in a day!
